If you are interested in seeing the site of the Mt. Lowe tavern and the railway that Pancho's grandfather built (see 12-02-06 entry)...your chance has come. I've been told that July 4th weekend Brian Marcroft of the Mt. Lowe Railway Historical Committee will be leading a hike up the old right-of-way. The group will be meeting at Rubio Vista and Pleasantridge in Altadena at 7: 00 AM on July 4th. It is a fairly easy hike, so long as it is not too hot.
